Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 02 November 2026
Scope of the Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, training programmes, digital resources and related services offered through buzzlofi. It covers professional development content focused on live television production techniques including studio equipment integration, camera operation, acoustics, lighting and production workflows for news, interviews and live broadcasts. The policy governs transactions made by individuals and organisations based in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Where applicable, Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included in the advertised price. Additional charges such as payment processing fees or currency conversion costs may apply if you choose a payment method that incurs them. buzzlofi does not charge for standard electronic delivery of course materials, although third-party internet or data charges remain your responsibility.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and approved digital wallets. All payments are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with UK data protection standards. Payment authorisation occurs at the point of purchase. We do not store full card details on our systems. Any suspected fraudulent activity will result in immediate cancellation of the transaction and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
Upon successful payment you will receive an order confirmation email containing details of your purchase. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Access to digital course content is granted immediately after confirmation unless you have expressly requested delayed access. You are responsible for checking the confirmation email for accuracy.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel most distance contracts within 14 calendar days of the date the contract was concluded. For digital content, this right is lost once you begin downloading or streaming the material, provided you have given prior express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you will lose the cancellation right. Services that have been fully performed within the 14-day period are also non-cancellable once performance has begun with your agreement.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available where cancellation occurs within the statutory period and before significant access to content has taken place. Refunds are not provided for digital downloads already commenced, completed live sessions, or personalised training materials. Promotional or discounted purchases may have additional restrictions clearly stated at the time of sale. Subscriptions are subject to the notice periods detailed in the subscription terms.
Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund you must contact us in writing using the details below. Include your order number, full name, the reason for the request and any supporting evidence. Requests should be sent to [email protected]. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and guide you through any further information required.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Each refund request is reviewed against the eligibility criteria set out in this policy. We will notify you of our decision by email within 10 working days of receiving a complete request. If approved, you will receive instructions on the refund process. If rejected, we will explain the reasons and outline any available alternatives such as course credit where appropriate.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes between 5 and 14 working days depending on your payment provider. Bank transfers may take longer. You will be notified once the refund has been processed. It is your responsibility to check your account statements.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital course content is supplied immediately upon purchase. By proceeding you agree that the 14-day cancellation period may be affected. Subscription renewals continue automatically until cancelled with the required notice. Promotional offers are non-refundable once redeemed and are subject to any specific terms displayed at purchase.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry or use an alternative method. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded where verified. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraud leads to immediate account review and possible referral to law enforcement.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
